Leroy Rolland Sr.

Leroy Rolland Sr., age 90 of Massillon went home to be with the Lord on, Saturday, April 03, 2021. He was born in Booneville, Mississippi on September 21, 1930 to the late Will and Bella (Shinault) Rolland. He married Mary Evelyn Chambers in 1953 and they shared 43 years together until her passing in 1996. Leroy worked for Republic Steel until his retirement. He was an avid baseball fan, basketball and football. He is survived by his children Dorette L. Johnson and Leroy Rolland Jr.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; his sister, Ella Kirkland and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, Leroy was preceded in death by his daughter Debbie Anderson; his son Leon Rolland, his brothers Chester Rolland, Wesley, William and J.W. Rolland; his sister Lomertra Rolland and Roberta Rolland. A Family gathering will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Thursday, April 08, 2021 from 9-10a.m. The family will meet at Oakwood Cemetery for a committal service at 10:30a.m.
