Leonard Dale Whaley

Leonard Dale Whaley, 67, died peacefully June 8, 2016 in Clearwater, Florida. He is survived by his spouse Janice Sukash, sons Kenneth (Lee Ann) of Pickerington, Ohio and Jonathan (Melanie) of Pink Hill, North Carolina, stepdaughters Dana King of London, Ohio , Jody Sukash of Clearwater, Florida, and six grandchildren. Surviving siblings include Irene Giavasis (Louis), Elsie Schmucker, Esther Seefong (Raymond), Betty Cunliffe, Donald (Trudy), and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley Dean and W. Dorothy (Mimi), siblings, Arthur, David, William (Buck) (Connie), Dean (Sandra), Dorothy (Dean) Brandt, and Florence (Paul) McCall. Leonard was a 46 year retiree from AEP Transmission Division working in the Canton (residing in Perry Heights) and Columbus (residing in Centerburg) areas of Ohio. Special thanks to the staffs of Harbor Wood Health and Rehab Center, Suncoast Hospice, Hospice of Central Ohio, and Hillman Hum, MD and staff of Sunbury, Ohio. A Memorial Service will be held at Paquelet Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Rd. NE, Massillon, Ohio on Saturday, July 9, 2016. The family will receive friends at 2pm until the service at 3pm.
