Leo Shahan

Leo Shahan, 79, passed away on Friday May 31, 2013 at home following an extended illness. He was born in Belington, WV on September 8, 1933 to the late Homer & Liza Shahan. Leo worked at the Timken Company for 43 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He loved working outside in his yard and vegetable garden. He was also known for his kind spirit, helping neighbors and friends with various projects. He was a loving husband, father and friend. He is survived by his wife, Rosie (Knight) Shahan, whom he married on November 21, 1953, his four children, Karen (Mike) Weston of Clinton, Sharon (Butch) Flener of Ashland, William (Erika) Shahan of Massillon & Ryan( Jennifer Ellis) Shahan of Akron, four grandchildren, one great-grandson, six brothers, Perry, Boyd, Charles, George, Alfred& Sherwood, five sisters, Thelma, Judy, Gatha, Charlotte & Sue. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Connie M. Shahan, three brothers, Vernon, Loyd & LE, three sisters, Jeanie, Cleo May, & Edith Louise. Memorial contributions may be made to the Compassionate Care Hospice of Fairlawn. A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
