Lee Humphrey Hays

Lee H. Hays, 73 passed away on April 24, 2012. He was born in Martinsferry, OH on January 14, 1939 to the late Leroy Humphrey & Lela Huff Hays. He was a 1957 graduate of Jackson High School and he was proud to be a member of Jackson's first State Championship Football team. He married Rhea Margazano on July 2, 1988 and she survives him. Lee attended Ohio State after high school, remaining a lifelong Ohio State Football and Basketball fan. He was a former employee of Tyson Roller Bearing. Lee was a devoted family man and liked by everyone. In his spare time he enjoyed watching sports and traveling. In addition to his wife, who lovingly cared for him during his long illness, he is also survived by his sons, Mark (Linda) Hays, and Mike (Tina) Hays; 2 daughters, Marta (Larry) Clevenger, and Melissa Belser; 2 step-sons, Joe (Michelle) Margazano, and Brian (Cheri) Margazano; 10 grandchildren, Nicholas, Ashley, Matthew, Angela, Zach, Chase, Mia, Matt, Alan, and Marcel; 5 great grandchildren, 1 brother, Kenny Hays; 1 niece and 1 nephew, an ex-wife Barbara Wise, and one loyal pet, Mack. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by step-son, Nicholas Margazano. The family would like to thank, the nurses at Aultman Infusion and Dr. Ahmad and his staff for their kind and compassionate care. Donations can be made in Lee's Memory to the Humane Society of Stark County, 5100 Peach Street, Louisville, OH 44641. A celebration of his life and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
