Lavonne I. Colucy

LaVonne I . Colucy, age 95 of Massillon, passed away on December 29, 2021. She was born in Massillon on November 03, 1926 to the late Price and Elizabeth (LeClair) Keller. LaVonne was a 1944 graduate of Massillon Washington High School. She married Leonard Colucy on April 19, 1947 and they shared 54 years together until his passing in 2001 LaVonne retired from Perry/Ansell Rubber after 25 years of service. She was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ. LaVonne enjoyed traveling, crocheting, cooking, playing cards and was a self- described Chocoholic. She will forever be remembered as a kind and giving person. She is survived by her children Pennie (Glenn) Gamber and Kenny (Tammy) Colucy; her grandchildren Nate (Lauren) Gamber, Emily (Theo) Burkhead, Dominic (Juli) Colucy and Alexis Colucy; her great grandchildren Ethan Gamber, Julian Gamber, Nora Burkhead, Hazel Burkhead, Anthony Colucy and Charles Colucy as well as a host of family and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, LaVonne was preceded in death by her sisters, Alberta Williams and Thelma Lilley. A private graveside service was held.
