LaVerne L. Kucera, age 85 of Perry Township, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, October 17, 2009. She was born on June 3, 1924 in Chicago, IL the daughter of the late Nicholas and Ottilie Miller. LaVerne lived in the area since 1973 and was a member of St. John Lutheran Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Rev. John S. Kucera in 2002 and brothers, Ronald and Warren Miller. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Rev. Jan (Diane) Kucera, Judith Kucera, David (Cheryl) Kucera, Mark (Fiancée, Jocie) Kucera, Daniel Kucera, Stephen Kucera, Nicholas (Lori) Kucera, Lois (Fiancée Christopher) Leslie, Laurie (Mitchell) Cook and Beth (Roy) Davis; her grandchildren, Jenny, Kimm, Brenton, John, Zachary, Trevor, Renee, Ryan, Colin, Spencer, Jack and Blaze; her great-grandchildren, Caden and Chloe; her siblings, Judy (Gerald) Mueller and Dr. Lowell (Marian) Miller. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at St. John Lutheran Church in Massillon at 11:00 A.M. with her pastor, Rev. John Telloni officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may call at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Monday from 5-8PM and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. The family would like to thank the care givers at Aultman Hospital, The Inn at Belden Village and St. Luke Lutheran Home for all their support and kindness extended to our beloved mother.
