Laurie Young

Laurie Young, 69, of Canton, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, June 5, 2024. She was born on March 20, 1955 to the late Robert and Mildred Allard.

Laurie will be missed for her great sense of humor and her devotion to her family. She wasn't afraid to be herself and speak her mind freely. Laurie was a huge Cleveland Guardians fan, she watched every game and always kept up with them. She was a fan of Disney and enjoyed traveling to Disney World with her family. Laurie enjoyed going to Mt. Airy, NC with her husband. She loved all of her pets, and enjoyed watching the birds. In her earlier years, she liked to cross stitch and do crossword puzzles. When the time came, she always liked to watch the Olympics especially figure skating and women's gymnastics.

Laurie will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Laurie is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, William Young; children, Erin Young, Christopher Young and Ryan Young; grandson, Zander Young; and siblings, Kris Allard and David Allard.

Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, June 13, 2024 at Paquelet Funeral Home. Her funeral service will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, at Paquelet Funeral Home with burial to follow at Rosehill Memorial Gardens.
