Laurel T. Brevoort, 82, passed away on August 30, 2021, following a brief illness. She was born in Queens, NY on April 2, 1939 to Henry W. and Cecelia (Taylor) Klein. Laurel received her Bachelors of Arts from Brooklyn College. She worked many years with CBS, D.L. Taftner and then worked as an usher on Broadway at the Circle on the Square. A member of Church of the Lakes United Methodist Church, she was active in their Golden Girls Club and Women’s Exchange. She was also a member of Eastern Star, Brooklyn Chapter 2 and Lorelei Chapter 581. She is survived by her children, Timothy Brevoort and Patricia (Kisi) Koka; grandchildren, Milika (Stephen) Alexander, Tevita, Uota, Penisimani and Siaosi Koka and Stacey and Brittany Brevoort; great-grandchildren, Arthur, Nathaniel and Samuel Alexander; and her siblings, Fr. Everett (Barbara) Klein, Kenneth (Virginia) Klein and Holly (James) Bolinger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Henry and Andrew Klein; and daughter-in-law, Cydney (Tata) Brevoort. A Memorial Service will be held on October 2, 2021 at Church of The Lakes United Methodist Church at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Church of the Lakes Memorial Fund.
