Laura L. Lanham

Laura L. Lanham age 49 of Massillon passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born December 18, 1957 in Massillon to the late William & Marilyn (Hershey) Lanham. Laura was a 1976 graduate of Washington High School and was employed at Polymer Packaging, Inc. for the past six years. Laura dearly loved her children, grandson, family, fiancé and friends. She was passionate about many things, flowers, gardening and her work. She was a fabulous cook, had a wonderful smile, infectious laughter and a warm heart. Laura’s love for her job as production manager and the people she worked with is best described in the following direct quote from a senior co-worker: “Laura and I had a special relationship as she proved to me and others that she was more than just Larry and Bill’s little sister. Laura made a difference every day! She always had a smile for everyone and for me she always brightened my day. I was proud of Laura’s accomplishments and look back with fondness the many discussions Laura and I had. Laura had a passion for Polymer Packaging reveling in the journey of success and unconditional love for her co-workers. In my 30 years in this business I can tell you without hesitation that your little sister Laura definitely led by example – she walked the walk!” She is survived by her fiancé Daniel Turner of Elyria, her two sons, Brandon and Mitchell Mathie, grandson Brayden Mathie, two brothers and a sister in law: William and Ann Lanham, Larry Lanham and his fiancé Nicole Williams. A celebration of her life will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 6, 2007 at the Paquelet Funeral Home (1100 Wales Road) in Massillon. The Reverend Calvin Hamblin will officiate. Friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Mercifully, our Lord and Savior received our beloved mother, sister and friend Tuesday evening into his loving and comforting arms.
