Laura Jean Jackson

Laura Jean Jackson, age 83 of Massillon, passed away April 10, 2012 following a brief illness. She was born June 11, 1928 in Lloyd, FL and lived most of her life in Massillon. Laura was employed at the Massillon Community Hospital for 30 years. She was a dedicated member of Shiloh Baptist. Her husband of 43 years James Jackson passed in 2002, an infant son Dwight Jackson, a sister and brother-in-law Viola & Richard Whitfield. She leaves to cherish her memory two sisters; Coretha Washington and Virginia (Willie) Murray both of Florida; special niece and care giver, Gennie (Wright) Campbell of Massillon; grandson, Cedric Campbell; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Laura Jackson will be Noon Friday at Shiloh Baptist Church in Massillon. Friends may call from 11 AM Friday until the time of the service at the church.
