Laura A. Ferrero, age 97 of Massillon, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2011 at her residence with her family at her side. Laura was born August 18, 1914 in Dennison, OH to the late Andrea & Elvira (Pelosi) Muzi and moved to Massillon in 1935. She and her husband, the late John D. Ferrero, operated the former Venice Spaghetti House in Massillon for many years. Laura was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers. In addition to her husband and parents she was predeceased by a son, James Ferrero (1959), a great grandson, Jesse Sinay (1994) and nine brothers and sisters. She is survived by 7 children and their spouses, Gloria (Ron) Sinay, Grace McGraner, Margaret (Michael) Groza, Catherine Calhoun, Louis (Barbara) Ferrero, Thomas V. (Jayne) Ferrero and John D. Ferrero Jr.; nineteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Delores Muzi and Kay Muzi, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11 AM Thursday at St. Joseph Church in Massillon, her pastor Fr. Raymond Paul will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 9 AM until 10:30 AM at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Donations can be made to the Memorial Fund at St. Joseph Church.
