Lateia "Teia" S Williams

Lateia “Teia” S. Williams, 38, of Massillon, passed away unexpectedly on June 19, 2021. She was born on December 10, 1982 in Massillon to Adriane Allen and Aubrey Williams. Teia was a 2001 graduate of Washington High School and a member of St. James AME Church. She was employed at Church’s Chicken but her true passion was cutting hair. Teia received her barber’s certification and was always making sure her friends and family had the best haircuts. In addition for her love of barbering, Teia was also known to be an outstanding cook and grill master. Even though she was allergic to shellfish, she sure knew how to cook the best seafood. Her friends and family will remember Teia as the “Life of the Party”. She absolutely enjoyed time spent with her family and friends and she had an unforgettable, infectious smile. She will be deeply missed by her children, who were the light of her life, Jaila Parker, Jordyn Williams, and Jonah Parker; her mother Adriane Driver; her father Aubrey Williams; siblings Aubrey Williams, Jr., Darius Williams, De Angelo Wheeler, Lawrence Driver, Jr., Leslie Driver, LeQuesha Driver, Alexis Patterson, twins Lisa and Leslie Brinson; grandparents Bernice V. Allen, Mary L. Williams and James C. Williams; aunts and uncles Kim L. Allen, Clara Island, Christopher Allen, Glenn W. Allen, Sr., and Lynn Williams; as well as numerous cousins and friends. Teia was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather Milton Allen. The family will receive friends on Thursday, July 1st from 6-8 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon. Funeral services will be held on Friday at the funeral home at 11 a.m. with calling hours beginning at 10 a.m. Burial will take place after the service at Massillon Cemetery.
