Larry W. Lamson, age 64 of Jackson Township, died on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Delaware, Ohio on May 11, 1946 and was the son of the late Eula Mae (Kazee) and William Henry Lamson. After high school, Larry served with the U.S. Army during the Viet Nam Conflict. He worked as a Commercial Underwriter for Nationwide Insurance, retiring in 2004. He was a member of the Lyon’s Den Golf Course, the V.F.W. in Whitehall, OH and the former Wales Racquetball and Fitness Center. Larry was the The Ohio State University’s #1 sports fan. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Frank Mercurio. He is survived by his wife, Connie Webb-Lamson, whom he married on July 13, 1968, his daughters, Annette (Joe Burkhart) Bradley and Jackie (Ron) Hatfield and his grandchildren, Josh and Karissa Williams, Britnee and Larry Joe Simcox and Amber and Jeremiah Hatfield. Services will take place on Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Pastor James Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8 P.M. The family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society. Following the service, a continued celebration of Larry’s life will take place at the Lodge at Springwood Campgrounds, 7373 Sherman Church Road, East Sparta, Ohio.
