Larry Susic

Larry Susic, 92, of Massillon, passed away on November 16, 2021. Larry was born on July 9, 1929, in Midland, PA, the son of the late Paul and Dorothy (Vujich) Susich. Larry was an Army/Air Corps veteran and proudly served our country during the Korean War. He worked at Midwestern Industries for 18 years before retiring. Larry was an avid Steelers fan but liked a lot of other teams as well. He loved traveling, especially to casinos. Larry’s greatest joy was his family, most of all his grandchildren. He was a lifetime member of VFW Post #3124 and a member of St. George Serbian Orthodox Church. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael “Brates” Susich, Nikola Susich, and Paul Susich, and sister, Louise Resanovich. He is survived by his wife, Ruth Wright with whom he shared 43 wonderful years; his children, Larry (Rebecca) Susic, Michael (Debra) Susic, Paul Susic, Eugene Susic, and Helen (Melvin) Whitted; step-children, Lee Abbott, Kathy Garner, and Kim Abbott; grandchildren, Bailey Rauser, Melissa Cain, Christopher, Michael, Karl, Ryan, Erin, Prissy, Sierra, and Nicholas Susic, Eric Morrow, Jeanie Whitted, Jon Smale, Jason Abbott, Nicholas Abbott, Alan Garner, Jamie Brahm, Michael Thatcher, Jennifer Krites, and Dylan Whitted; 20 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great granddaughter; and sisters, Martha Padezanin, Helen Janke, and Ann Laketa. The funeral service will be held on Monday, November 22, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home. Rev. Fr. Aleska Pavichevich will be Officiating.
