Larry Michael Fowler

Larry M. Fowler, age 68, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, June 12, 2017. He was born in Massillon to the late James and Mary (Padgett) Fowler on January 31, 1949. He was a 1968 graduate of Perry High School. He married Linda Warren on June 24, 1972 and they shared 45 years together. Larry served his country in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He worked for Timken in the Roller Bearing Division for 30 years until his retirement. He enjoyed going fishing with his brothers and son-in-law; he coached baseball and basketball for his son Brian’s teams. In retirement he worked as a Shuttle Driver for Holiday Inn. He was a diehard fan of his family’s little league sports teams and Perry High School Sports. Larry is survived by his wife Linda; and his daughter and son-in-law Christine and Nick Swires; his brothers James (Linda) Fowler, David (Alice) Fowler, Donald (Karen) Fowler, Richard (Linda) Fowler, and Roger (Donna) Fowler; his sisters Diana Duck, Nancy (Jon) Crossen and Ruth (Steve) Hudson as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his brothers Kenneth and Robert. A Celebration of his life and that of his son Brian, who passed away on June 13th will be held at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon, on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 11a.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 5-8p.m. and 1 hour prior to the service.
