Larry D. Farley, of North Lawrence, departed this world on October 4, after a brief illness. Born October 16th, 1938, in Warford, WV, Larry was a 1956 graduate of Hinton High School. He served his country in the U.S. Army from 1957-63. Larry moved to Massillon and worked 44 years at Republic Steel, retiring in 1998. In 1961, Larry married the love of his life, Dulcie Ruth Vest, and they celebrated 52 years of marriage in February. He was known as a devoted husband and father. Larry was a jack of all trades, known as Mr. Fix It. There wasn't a project or problem he wouldn't undertake. He enjoyed working in his yard, gardening, and automobiles. Larry was a man of faith, and a longtime member of Anchor Baptist Church. Preceded in death by his mother Dolly Edwards, father Watt Hurst, father-in-law James Moody Vest, and special cousin Frank Farley. Survived by his wife Ruth, daughters Tamra (Aaron) Ansel and Tina Mann, son Tim Farley (Stephen), brother Jerry (Judy) Hurst, sister Sandy (Homer) Crews, sister-in-laws Julia (John) Allen, Martha Williams, Linda (John) McKee and Joyce (Bill) Neely, brother-in-law Ben(Gayle) Vest, mother-in-law Lucinda Upton, grandchildren Phil Joseph, Raechelle Harber, Ashton and Albrey Mann, Lilly and Jackson Ansel, 3 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. Per Larry's wishes, there will be no calling hours; burial will be in Jumping Branch, WV, at the Luther W. Vest Family Cemetery, graveside services will be on Saturday, October 12th, at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Luther W. Vest Family Cemetery, in care of Ben Vest, 153 Oakwood Estates, Scott Depot, and WV 25560. Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home
