Larry B Shanklin

Larry B. Shanklin age 80 of Massillon passed away December 12, 2017. Larry was born April 11, 1937 in Massillon to the late Blake & Lucille (Simon) Shanklin. He was a 1955 graduate of Central Catholic High School, served in the Army and received an Honorable Discharge. He retired from Eaton Mfg. in Quality Control. He was a member of K of C #554, and an active participant in the Bowling League, Golf League and Softball. He will be remembered by all for his love of family and sports. He liked fast cars, motorcycles and fishing. His wife Betty (Milliken) Shanklin of 58 years passed away in 2015. In addition he was predeceased by two sons: William and Michael, a brother Ronald Shanklin and a brother in law William R. Milliken. He is survived by three children: Steven (Pamela) Shanklin, Laura (Ron) Pribula and Ronald Shanklin. There are two sisters: Sandra (Jack) Cecil and Debra (Todd) Leonard. There are seven grandchildren: Stephanie, Jacob, Lucas, Michael, Samantha, Brittany, and Stephen; five great grandchildren: Aubriana, Connor, Lexane, Amiya, and Landon. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 AM Monday December 18, 2017 at St. Barbara’s Catholic Church, Fr. Brian Cline will officiate. His final resting place will be St. Barbara’s Cemetery.
