Kevin B. Luyster

Kevin B. Luyster, 54 of Massillon, passed away Thursday, June 23, 2016. Kevin was born on July 27, 1961 in Gary, IN, the son of Ben and Joan Luyster. Kevin was employed by Graco, Inc. and formerly worked at Redicon Corp. He enjoyed hunting, riding his motorcycles, and traveling with the "The Canyon Group". Kevin was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes and Cleveland Browns fan. He also enjoyed woodworking with his Dad and spoiling his grandson, Nathan. He had a standing bet with his mother-in-law on the annual Massillon/McKinley game. He is survived by his wife Shelly (Schartiger) Luyster, whom he married on October 31, 2009; parents; daughter Krista (Ryan) Shanower; grandson, Nathan McCullough; sisters Betsy (John) Haines and Lori (Mark) Weigand; 3 nephews; 1 niece; father and mother-in-law Ted (Marilyn) Schartiger; and many close friends. A celebration of Kevin's life will be held on Monday, June 27, 2016 at 11 a.m. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 2-5 p.m. and on Monday from 10-11 a.m. The family would like to thank the staff at Rose Lane and Crossroads Hospice for their compassionate care.
