Kenneth Robert Berens

Kenneth R. Berens, age 85 of Massillon passed away Sunday April 15th at the Danbury. Kenny was born December 31, 1932 in Massillon to the late Casper & Marie (Hamel) Berens. Ken was a life resident of Massillon and a veteran of the Air Force. He retired as office manager in the sales department of Union Drawn/LTV. His memberships include, K of C #554 and FOE #441. Kenny loved golfing in the K of C League, rollerblading, bike riding and working in the yard. He is survived by his wife, R. Annie (Helline) Berens, with whom he shared 61 years of marriage; two sons, Joe (Jody) Berens and Dave Berens; two grandchildren, Jenny (Chris) Pollard and Joey (fiancée Jenna Waltz) Berens; two great grandchildren, Declan and Nora; brother, James Berens of Columbia, SC. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Massillon, Fr. Raymond Paul and Fr. Edward Gretchko will concelebrate. Friends may call from 9AM till 9:45 AM at the church. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Great Lakes Hospice or the Alzheimer's Foundation.
