Kenneth H. Murray age 64 of Perry Twp. died Monday October 30, 2006. He was born September 12, 1942 in Canton. Ken was a 1961 graduate of Central Catholic High School. After high school he served in the Army during the Vietnam era as a Medical Corpsman and received an honorable discharge. In 1998 he retired from Nichols Bakery after 24 years of service. He was an active member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church as an usher and Eucharistic minister. A member of Massillon Knights of Columbus #554 since 1979, holding many offices including trustee, and an 4th Degree member of the Bishop Massillon Assembly. Also active as a member of the Perry Adult Booster Club since 1982, the McKinley Eagles and the AmVets. He was preceded in death by his: parents, James H Murray, Burrdella (Murray) Berry and step-father James Berry; a son James H. Murray (1988), a sister Judith Murray, brother Dale Murray, father-in-law, Virgil Stevens and a brother-in-law, Frank Vodopich. He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Patricia (Stevens) Murray; children Jeffrey (Lisa) Murray of Naperville, IL, Joseph (Rhonda) Murray of Westerville, OH, Kristen Murray and Michelle Murray both of the residence. Grandchildren: Morgan, Quinn & Maxwell of Naperville, IL and Collin andd Austin of Westerville, OH. Brothers and sisters: Beverly Vodopich, Donna (Leon) Wolfgang, Linda Murray, Ronald (Cheryl) Murray, Edward (Joanne) Murray, Thomas (Annette) Murray, George (Dianne) Murray, Frederick (Sylvia) Murray, Garry (Patricia) Murray, Michael (Donna) Murray, John (Cathy) Murray. Mother-in-law Helen Stevens; brother and sister in laws, Robert (Erma) Stevens, Carol (William) Boniphant and Beverly (Keith) Darrah and close friends Robert (Micky) Catazaro, Charles (Carol) Geis, Paul (Patricia) Barnard and James (Anna) Brelish. Visitation at the Paquelet Funeral Home at 1100 Wales Rd. N. E, Massillon from 5-8 PM on Thursday November 2nd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 A M Friday at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, his pastor Fr. William Kraynak will officiate.
