Kenneth A. Carver, 71 of Massillon, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2015. He was born on August 30, 1944 in Massillon and was the son of the late Albert and Jessie (Drennen) Carver. He was also preceded in death by his step father LaVern Kraft. He retired from the Canton City Schools, where he taught for 35 years. Ken then went on to be a substitute teacher in the Massillon school system, Massillon Christian School and taught drivers education in Massillon. He was a member of The Chapel in North Canton and The Gideons International. Ken is survived by his wife of 47 years, Ruth M. (Blacksten) Carver, their children, Ken (Jill) Carver, Shelley Carver, Amy (Matthew) Yacoub and Kevin (Renee) Carver, his grandchildren, Avery and Kendall Carver and Bella Yacoub, his sister Joyce Valentine, his brother Gary Paul Carver and many other family members. A service to celebrate the life of Ken Carver will take place on Thursday, December 24th at 11:00 a.m. at The Chapel in North Canton, 715 Whittier NW, Canton, Ohio with Pastor Michael McCartney officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Hills Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. and on Thursday at The Chapel one hour before the service.
