Kelly James Callahan

July 12, 1967 — February 4, 2019

Kelly James Callahan, 51, of Jackson Township, passed away on February 4, 2019 due to Multiple Myeloma. He was born on July 12, 1967 in Buffalo, New York. He married Sue Ellen Hershberger on May 16, 2014 in Maui and they shared five unforgettable years together filled with love. Kelly was employed at Neopost U.S. A. since 2009 where he worked as Director of Sales of Great Lakes Region. Kelly was loved and admired by countless family and friends. He was the kind of person who when he walked in a room, everyone wanted to talk to and be near him. His smile and laugh was contagious. He could always be counted on to give advice, share opinions, tell stories, and show support. He pushed people to be the best version of themselves, see the positives in life, and live every moment to the fullest. He had a strength that was admired by many, and never let life’s difficulties get the best of him. Kelly loved his family, camping at Clay’s Park with his friends, listening to music of every genre, playing DJ at every gathering, hanging out in his tiki bar, and taking golf cart rides with his handsome dog, Jack. He loved to travel, especially to the beach, where he could be found relaxing in the shade listening to Jimmy Buffett. Kelly will be deeply missed by his wife Sue Ellen; his children Caitlyn Callahan, Kara Callahan, Karli Callahan, Randi Weisgarber and Tyler Weisgarber; brothers, Kevin (Kiona) Callahan and Sean Callahan; mother and father-in-law, Don & Carolyn Koprivec and Larry & Jane Hershberger; and numerous family members. Kelly was preceded in death by grandparents Henry and Jennie Brock; and nephew Kevin Callahan, Jr. The family would like to thank the staff at the Cleveland Clinic and Aultman Compassionate Care Center for their kindness and compassion.
