Kelly Dean Murphy

Kelly Dean Murphy, age 63 of Massillon passed away May 3, 2015. He was born in Charleston, WV to the late Paul and Marian Murphy. He moved to Massillon in 1954. Kelly married the love of his life, Julie E. Paul on October 6, 1984. He was an advocate for fostering and adoption after being a foster parent for 10 years. Kelly worked for many years as a millwright, starting at Republic Steel and finishing at Timken Steel. He was an avid Union member as well as a member of the safety committee. He loved high school sports and was a beloved fan of the Tigers, as well as an official member of the Benchwarmers at WHS. He spent the majority of his time outdoors and loved all things nature, including fishing and hunting. He was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers: Linda, Randall and Curtis. He is survived by wife of 30 years, Julie; children are Lenny, Tina, Mike (fiancée Chelsea) and Liz (DJ) Tracy and two beautiful grandbabies, William "Willard" and Hadrian. He has three brothers: Keith (Lisa), Ted (Brenda) and Steve (Marty). Friends may call Tuesday from 5-8 PM at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon.
