Kay Plott

Kay Plott, 68 of Massillon, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016. Kay was born in Dennison, Ohio on April 20, 1948 the daughter of the late Ray and Johanne (Harshey) Smitley. She was a 1966 graduate of Fairless High School. Kay worked at Heinz Foods retiring in 2005. She was a member of the Massillon Recreation Center and Abundant Life Christian Fellowship. Kay enjoyed crocheting, gardening, sitting on her front porch, and spending time with friends at Tucker's Tavern. She loved taking care of her bird and her cat. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, "W/C Mike" Smitley. She is survived by her beloved daughter Heather Plott and her grandson, Scrappy Doo; sisters, Joy Smitley and Tina Derrow; step-mom, Rose Smitley; step-siblings, Ron Swihart, Debby Bugh, Dan Swihart and Tammy (Brad) Broad; numerous nieces, nephews , cousins and great nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Kay's life will be held on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at 8 p.m. at the Paquelet Funeral Home.
