Kathy Jo Heckathorn

Kathy Jo Heckathorn, age 58 of Massillon, died on Monday, January 4, 2010 at Affinity Medical Center. She was born on April 4, 1951 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late Milton Gene “Rock” and Joanne (Stamets) Heckathorn. In 1969 she graduated from Fairless High School. She then went to Beauty School and began her 35 year career as a hairdresser. She was an avid traveler. “May the ocean tides carry you to better places.” Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Holland in 2008. She is survived by her niece, who was special to her, LeAnne Holland of Parma, Ohio. Also missing her will be numerous friends and loyal patrons. Friends will be received at the Paquelet Funeral Home on Saturday from 4-5 P.M. with a closing prayer to follow. The celebration of Kathy’s life will continue at Tucker’s Tavern after 5:00 P.M.
