Kathleen F. Mcclure

Kathleen F. McClure, age 82 of Dover, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 6, 2010 at Union Hospital in Dover following an extended illness. She was born on January 26, 1928 in Morrisvale, WV the daughter of the late Whitman and Ethel Hill. Kathleen graduated from Scott High School in Madison, WV and following a period of courtship married the love of her life, Owen McClure on January 14, 1950. Kathleen was employed by O’neils department store at Chapel Hill Mall in Akron for 12 years, where she met a coworker and lifelong friend, Mary Hartman of Mogadore. Also she was employed by Beall’s department store in Kissimmee FL for 10 years before retiring in 1995. She was a member at Anchor Baptist Church in Massillon. Some of her favorite hobbies included cooking, baking, camping and hiking. Kathleen loved being a homemaker and cherished spending time with her family. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by a brother, Dennis (Denny) Hill of Massillon. A caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, she will be sadly missed. Survivors include her husband, Owen; two daughters, Brenda (Alan) Miller of New Port Richey, FL and Charlotte (Terry) Flitcraft of Ballwin, MO; sister, Freeda “Pigeon” Pauley of Massillon; three granddaughters, Kelly, Kristina, Kerrie; five great-grandsons and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010 at Anchor Baptist Church at 10:00 AM. Dr. Mark Jacobs will be officiating. Burial will follow at Dover Burial Park in Dover, Ohio.
