Karl 'Woody' Reed

Karl ‘Woody’ Reed, age 70 of Massillon, passed away Thursday, May 22, 2008 at his residence. He was born on January 31, 1938 in Canton to the late George and Bernice (Gruber) Reed. Woody worked for Republic Steel for 39 years before retiring in 1999. Woody didn’t care much about the material things, but more about the Heavenly treasures. Woody was an officer of the online High Rollers Guild, he wanted to thank them and appreciated their friendship throughout his last months. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, George Reed in 2002. He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Terri (Buchner) Reed; their children, Mark (Missy) Reed and Kimberly (Douglas) Rorrer both of Canton; his children, Michael (Regina) Reed, George (Terri) Reed and Donna (Jim) Pace all of Westminster, SC; 11 grandchildren and 1 expected in July; 3 great-grandchildren. Woody’s family would like to thank Dr. Donald Zimmerman, Dr. Rafeal Arsuga and Dr. George Kefalus for their compassionate care. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 27th, 2008 at the Paquelet Funeral Home at 11:00 A.M. Calling hours will be held on Monday from 6-8 P.M. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Rev. Edd Matako will be officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
