Karen Mullins

Karen Green Piatt Mullins, age 67, beloved daughter, sister, mother and friend, passed away on March 31, 2012. She was born in Massillon on August 22, 1944 to the late Robert B. and Grace (Ellis) Green. She was a 1962 graduate of Washington High School. She was a member of Laurate Delta Eta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, the Bucket Bunch at the Duncan Apartments, and a lifelong member of Grace United Church of Christ. Karen is survived by her two sons, Eric Piatt of Ohio and Shane Piatt of Ohio, a daughter in law Angel (Ward) Piatt of Florida. Two step sons Larry (Jamie) Grimm of Ohio, Steve Mullins of Ohio, one step-daughter Kim (Richard) Gantz of Ohio. Twelve grandchildren: Autumn, Destinee, Skylar, Chelsea, Shane Jr., Karley, Joey, Lucas, Adriana, Ava, Justin and Kaylee, two great-grandsons Adrian and Tayler. Two brothers: Ray Green of Ohio and Bob Green of Montana, one sister Susie (Ken) Eckstein of Michigan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Carl Mullins in 2003, her former husband & high school sweetheart, Gary Piatt in 2001, and her son Rafe Piatt in 2007. A Memorial Service will be held at the Grace United Church of Christ at 11:30 A.M on Wednesday, April 4, 2012, Pastor Barry Sturbens will be officiating. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 P.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 and 1 hour prior at the Church on the day of the Memorial Service.
