Junior "J.R." A. Burga

Junior "J.R." A. Burga, 81, passed away on January 11, 2017. He was born in Barnesville on January 10, 1936 to the late Brady and Ida (Bunfill) Burga. J.R. lived in Jackson Township for the last fifty five years. He was a retiree of Republic Steel and a veteran of The United States Army, serving in Korea. He was a kind and patient man, loving husband and devoted father. J.R. was always willing to help others. He enjoyed boating, gardening, antique farm tractors and the company of his dog, Cody. J.R. is survived by his children, Cindy Burga and Jeff Burga; his brother, Gene and Alice Burga; his sister, Connie and Guy Johns; granddaughter, Lindsey and Jean Phillips; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Molly Lee (Davis) Burga; and grandson, Benjamin Smith. The family will hold a private funeral service. Burial will be held in Newman Cemetery.
