Junior D. Miller, 93, of Bolivar, passed away on Thursday, March 23, 2017 at his home with his children by his side. He was born in Massillon on January 9, 1924 to Dwight and Elsie (Hershey) Miller. Junior proudly served his country in the United States Army Air Corp as an airplane mechanic during WWII. He married Betty Eileen Brunckhart on June 27, 1953. They shared 63 loving years together before she passed away on February 22, 2016. Junior worked as an electrician at Republic Steel with 42 years of service. He was also a longtime member of Epworth United Methodist Church. In his spare time, Junior enjoyed being outside, especially tending to his garden or splitting wood. His day always started with his coffee and donuts. Junior's greatest pride and joy, however, was flying airplanes. He will be deeply missed by his son, Dwight Miller; daughter, Cheryl Haswell; grandchildren, Kelly (Andy) Willig, Kirk (April) Haswell; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Ryland, Kinsley and Avery Willig and Charlotte Haswell. In addition to his parents, Junior was preceded in death by his wife, Betty. In keeping with the family's wishes, cremation will take place and burial will be at Brookfield Cemetery, where military rites will be held at a later date.
