Junie Studer

Paul J. "Junie" Studer, 84 of Massillon, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2015 at his home. He was born in Springfield, Ohio and was the son of the late Paul H. and Ethel (Mauger) Studer. He was the longtime owner and operator of Studer Signs, retiring in 2001. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Steve Studer in February of 2004. An avid supporter of all that was Massillon sports, Junie was president of the Massillon Tiger Booster Club in 1972. He was a Sideliner, statistician and historian of Massillon Tiger Football for many years. He served on the board of directors of Lighthouse Visions, Inc. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Dolores (Schwartz) Studer, his son Joseph Studer and his wife Trish, his daughter Suzanne Studer, his daughter-in-law Betsy Studer, his grandchildren, Sam (Rebecca) Studer, Dan (Amy) Studer, Sarah Studer and Joe Studer and 4 great grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 2nd at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Raymond L. Paul officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery.
