June Marie Zimmer

June Marie Zimmer, age 86 passed away on Sunday, July 7, 2013 at Hanover House in Perry Township. She was born on June 07, 1927 to the late Raymond and Marie (Witt) Engler in Nanitcoke, Pennsylvania. She was married to Raymond D. Zimmer for more than 50 years until his passing on January 4, 2009. June earned a degree in nursing from Temple University in Philadelphia. She worked for many years as an Industrial Nurse for Republic Steel and later the Massillon State Hospital, where she retired. She was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church in Massillon and The Women's Club. In her spare time she enjoyed baking and cooking. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by her family. June is survived by her son Dale Zimmer and 2 grandchildren.
