June Marie Rogers

June Marie (Caldwell) Rogers, age 92, passed away peacefully on December 23, 2023 in Massillon. She was born to the late Roy and Clara (Kuntz) Caldwell on June 9, 1931 in Massillon. June graduated from Washington High School in 1949 and from the Massillon City Hospital School of Nursing in 1952. She married her loving husband, the late Alan J. Rogers, on May 19, 1956 and they were blessed to spend nearly 62 years of marriage.

She devoted her life to caring for those she loved. Whether it was spending hours crocheting an afghan in their favorite colors or baking banana bread and her mom's special cut-out cookies, she poured her love out in these acts of service. Some of her favorite things included the color blue, roses, long drives through Amish country and a good meal out with family. She enjoyed watching sports of all kinds but especially her Massillon Tigers, The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cleveland Indians (Guardians), and Super Bowl Champions the Rams. She will be remembered for her charm, quick wit, calming presence & beautiful heart. She will be missed beyond measure.

June is survived by her son, Alan (Tammy) J. Rogers, Jr., daughter Lynne (Randy Richmond) Rogers: granddaughters, Christina (James) Rogers-Cook, Melissa (Jason) Grup, Lindsay (Jason) Dillon, Lauren (Ray) Gill, Brianna (Raymond) Latiano, and Alyssa (Washington) Ferraz: thirteen great-grandchildren: her elder sister, Alice Oberlin and her baby brother, Robert Caldwell.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Bruce Rogers, sister Beverly Rose Ryder and brothers Willis Caldwell and William "Bumper" Caldwell.

A graveside service was held at Sunset Hills Burial Park on Friday, January 5, 2024 at 11:00am.
