June J. "Jo" Green

June J. “Jo” Green, 88, was called home to be with her Lord on Friday, December 17, 2021, surrounded by her family. She was born in Baltic (Bucks Twp.) on August 2, 1933 to the late Roy A and Fern (Studer) Everhart. A loving, wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, June loved her family and enjoyed talking with everyone of them. She worked at Jean Nicole Dress Shop in sales and loved working at the Donut Kettle in Perry Heights for years. She achieved over 500 hours of service as a volunteer at Doctors Hospital, cheering on many patients. A woman of compassion , she also volunteered at Community Hospice of Stark County for 10 years. She will be missed by all who knew her June is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Louie M. Green, who was her constant companion and caretaker; a daughter, Valerie (Mike) Bryant; daughter-in-law, Tina Green; grandchildren, Keisha (Shawn) Schering, Dylan, Devin and Cassie Green; great-grandson, Cody (Brooke Henkle) Schering; great-great-grandson, Wyatt Schering; brother, Floyd (Carolyn) Everhart; in-laws, Larry Green, Louise Hulvey and Betty Petty; many nieces and nephews; and her faithful dog, Oreo. In addition to her parents, June is preceded in death by her son, Rusty Green; and siblings, Wayne Everhart and Loretta Paisley. The Family will host a Celebration of June’s Life for friends at 5pm on December 30, 2021 in Calvary Baptist Church, 11616 Sinclair ST SW, Massillon, OH 44647 with Pastor Tim Mishler, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the church or Mercy Hospice. All flowers should be sent to the church for services.
