June Catherine Crew

June Catherine Crew, age 77 passed away surrounded by her loving family at Aultman Hospital on, Tuesday, June 18, 2013. She was born to the late Roland and S. Marie (Fisher) Giltz in Massillon on June 6, 1936. She was 1954 graduate of Washington High School. June worked for the Canton YMCA for nearly 30 years until her retirement. She was a lifelong member of Faith Community Church, where she served as secretary, taught Sunday School, and served on various boards. In her spare time she loved sewing, needlework, cooking and canning. Her favorite past-time was following her grandchildren's sports careers. June was devoted to caring for her Mother in her final years. She will forever be remembered as a loving and devoted Mother, Grandmother and Sister. She is survived by her children Deborah (David) Springer of Cumming, Georgia and her son Mark (Michelle) Crew of Canton, Ohio; her granddaughter Hanna of Canton, Ohio, William Springer of Cumming, Georgia; her sister Sarah "Jeanne" May (Gerald "Speedy" Wiles) and her brothers Clyde H. (Sue) Giltz, Kenneth R. (Cynthia S.) Giltz, and a host of nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at Faith Community Church, on Monday, July 15, 2013, Pastor Eldon Smith.
