June A. Hattery

June A. Hattery, 77, of Navarre, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, on January 3, 2018 with her family and friends by her side, after suffering an extended illness of pulmonary fibrosis. She was born on June 30, 1940 in Massillon, Ohio to the late Ralph and Verna (Simler) Boughman. June graduated from Navarre High School in 1958 and Canton City School of Nursing. Upon graduation, she worked at Doctors Hospital in obstetrics for many years. June enjoyed her time with her family and the many vacations they took to the ocean in Myrtle Beach. June was also a member of Massillon Baptist Temple. She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Dale Hattery; daughters Barbara (Douglas) Smith and Cindy Mann (Bruce Borell); grandchildren Jessica (Jeremy) Sellers, Justin (Veronica) Mann, Austin Carani, Tyler Smith and Ryan Smith; great-grandchildren Noah and Joshua Sellers, Jason, Addison and Karson Mann; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. In keeping with June’s wishes there will be no calling hours or funeral service instead a private graveside memorial will be held at Union Lawn Cemetery with Pastor Cecil Thayer officiating. The family would like to invite everyone to a celebration of June’s life on Saturday, January 6, 2018 at 11 a.m. at the Navarre Civic Center, 99 W. Canal Street, Navarre, OH, 44662 In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in June’s name to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, 230 East Ohio Street, Suite 500, Chicago, Illinois 60611.
