Juliet Habib

Juliet Habib, age 89 of Massillon, passed away on Friday, November 28, 2008 at Affinity Medical Center. She was born on October 5, 1919 in Zanesville, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Nicolas and Mary (Frem) Berbari. She was a member of the Stark County American-Lebanese Club and was a member and volunteer at St. Joan of Arc Parish and School. She was the co-owner of the Linden Cash Market in Zanesville, Ohio. She was a devoted wife, mother, “sittee” (grandmother), sister, aunt and sister in law. Her faith in God was evident by the way she lived her life. What she left to her children was a rich, caring spirit and strong family and cultural traditions. Along with her parents, Juliet was preceded in death by her husband Albert Habib, her sisters, Georgette Berbari, Lucille Berbari, Jeannette (Berbari) Elum and Angeline (Berbari) Rashid and her brothers, Joseph and Thomas Berbari. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Frank (Peggy White) Habib of Milwaukee, WI, Marilyn (Jon) Gurian of Columbus, OH, David (Mary) Habib of North Canton, OH, Bernadette (Jeff) Bennett of Arlington Heights, IL and Joseph Habib of Massillon, OH., her grandchildren, Danielle Habib,Nicholas Habib, Gregory Habib, Julie Bennett and Jason Bennett, her sisters, Rosemarie (Philip) George, Adele (Gene) Moore and Yvonne (Tom) Jesser and her brothers John (Mary) Berbari, George (Suzi) Berbari and many devoted nieces and nephews. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Monday, December 1, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church with Fr. William Kraynack as the celebrant. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Paquelet Funeral Home, 1100 Wales Road N.E. in Massillon on Sunday from 5-8 P.M.
