Julia V. Hedgespeth, 77, passed away on Friday September 21, 2012 at Hospitality House Nursing Center, Massillon following an extended illness. She was born on July 10, 1935 in Massillon to the late Marie Sankey and Benjamin Hedgespeth. She worked as an LPN in the Massillon. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church. She is survived by five children Alonzo Evans of Chicago, IL, Krisceda McDaniel of Canton, James McKnight, Jr. of Massillon, Dawn Henderson of Massillon and Kimberly Bushe of Clearwater, FL. Eleven grandchildren, Gary, LaShinna, Mechelle, James, Reed, Shatawn, Phillip, Latisha, Nicholas, Sierra and Tia. Twenty-six great-grandchildren. One sister, Doris Burke and one brother, Horace Ward, Jr. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Friends may call at the Shiloh Baptist Church, Massillon one hour prior to a funeral service to be held on Friday, September 28, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery.
