Judith A. Matie

Judith A. Matie, age 68 of Massillon, died on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at Brewster Parke. She was born on March 16, 1940 in West Lafayette, Ohio and was the daughter of the late Glenn and Helen Holdsworth. She was an area resident for most of her life. She was an ordained minister. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Doralee McCabe and her brother, Ross Moran. She is survived by her sons, Michael Matie and Kurt (Valerie) Matie both of Massillon, her daughter, Barbara Matie of Massillon, her grandchildren, Angila, Kurt, Jr., Tiffanie and Nicole, 10 great grandchildren and her brother, Pat Moran of Columbus, Ohio. Funeral services will take place on Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at the Paquelet Funeral Home in Massillon with Fr. Raymond Paul officiating. Burial will follow in Brookfield Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to the funeral home to help with expenses.
