Joyce Wilson

Joyce B. (Parsons) Wilson, age 76, of North Canton went home to be with the Lord Saturday November 7, 2009 at Aultman Hospital surrounded by her loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born July 5, 1933 in Massillon to the late Fred and Lula (Rager) Brackman. Joyce retired as a stamper from Perry Rubber. Joyce was a Christian who loved the Lord. She was devoted to her family, and loved spending time with her grandchildren and playing cards with her sisters. Joyce is survived by her daughters Diane (Kevin) Slabach of Orrville, Cathy (Chuck) Preusser of Canton, and Wendy (Glen) Safreed of North Canton; stepson John (Sherry) Parsons of Marietta; sisters Doris Morgan of Massillon, Dorothy Wadian (Francis) Karig of Massillon, Sandy (William) Moyers of Navarre, and Darlene (Irvin) Ady of Massillon; grandchildren Rachel (Clarence) Cole, Mark Arney, Matthew Ashe, Michael Ashe, Lisa (Dr. Steven) Widmer, Sarah (Brian) Zelker, Alan Safreed, Frank Safreed, and Danielle Safreed; great-grandchildren Jake, Lyndsay and Emily Cole, Makenzie Ashe, Parker Widmer, Nevaeh and Thomas Zelker; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband French Wilson, stepson William Parsons, and sisters Donna Kritzer, Norma Dietz, Juanita Jennings, and Janice Reeves. A memorial service will be held Saturday November 14, 2009 at 3:00 P.M. at Calvary Baptist Church 11616 Sinclair St. SW, Massillon where the family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until the time of service.
