Joyce G. Smittle

Joyce G. Smittle, age 80 of Navarre, passed away Wednesday, July 4, 2012 at Rose Lane Health Care Center. She was born on August 4, 1931 in Kilsyth, WV, the daughter of the late Gordon and Grace (Ames) Richmond. Joyce worked for Spilios Candy Company in Canton for 40 years as the office manager. She attended Sardis United Methodist Church in Sardis, Ohio. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Bob P. Smittle in 2011 after 56 years of marriage, 3 sisters and 3 brothers. She is survived by her sisters Dorothy Hobbs of Milton, WV and Myrtle (Ronald) Petti of Conway, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews. A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, July 21, 2012 at 12 P.M. (Noon) at Sardis Cemetery in Sardis, Ohio. Rev. Richard Wilson of Sardis U.M.C. will be Officiating.
