Joyce E. Loomis

Joyce E. Loomis, age 73 of Massillon, died on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Affinity Medical Center. She was born on April 13, 1938 in Massillon and was the daughter of the late Jacob and Clara Herman. Joyce graduated from Washington High School in 1956. She loved her family and enjoyed watching movies, working crossword puzzles and playing the lottery. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Tom Loomis, Sr. on December 15, 2010 and her brothers, Jim Herman and Jacob Herman, Jr. She is survived by her sons, Tom Loomis, Jr. and Neil Loomis, her daughter Tammy (Darrell) Anderson, Sr., her grandchildren, Katherine Loomis, Michelle Loomis, Darrell Anderson, Jr., Tom Anderson and Elaine Anderson and her brother Louis G. Herman. A memorial service to celebrate her life will take place on Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 1:00 P.M. at the Paquelet & Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Rev. Edd Matako officiating. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call one hour before the service. Memorials may be made in her name to the Massillon Boys and Girls Club.
