Josephine J. Porrini, age 93, of Massillon, passed away August 30, 2009. Josephine was born August 8, 1916 in Massillon to the late Salvatore & Benedetta (Denardo) Blogna. Josepine was a life resident of Massillon, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Italian-American Women’s Club. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and participating in family get-togethers. She always looked forward to working bingo at St. Joseph’s Church and her evening coffee with the neighbor ladies. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, William Porrini; sisters, Angela Mastrianni, Rose Hoyman, Cora Sarachene, Mary Hurst; brother, Sam Blogna and a great grandson, Christian Porrini Jr. Josephine is survived by a daughter and her husband, Benedette & Michael Feichter of Massillon; son and his wife, William Porrini and Pam Perdew of North Canton; seven grandchildren, Michelle Kaylor, Michael & Adam Feichter, Tottie, Christian, Seth & Matthew Porrini; eleven great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. She had a dear friend, Francis Koch and many nieces and nephews whom she held very dear to her heart. A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 AM Thursday at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday from 6-8 PM and from 9 AM until 9:40 Thursday at the funeral home.
