Joseph William Accetta

Joseph W. Accetta, 77, passed away on Monday, March 4th, 2013 at Affinity Medical Center. Born on September 8th, 1935 in Langley, Virginia, he was the son of the late Joseph and Amelia (Orf) Accetta. Joe retired from the Ohio Edison where he had worked for fifty one years. He also served his country in the United States Air Force. He loved his family, his cat; Pugs, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and working in his yard. He will be remembered as a devoted family man, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy (Baughman) Accetta and his beloved sister, Jodi Lowe. He is survived by his former wife and mother of his children, Sharon Nickolas; his children: Joseph W. Accetta III, Diane (Terry) Eisenbrei, Shari Jo Accetta, Kortland (Lindsay) Accetta, and Karri (Jason) VanKirk and his nephew: Mark Wilbanks. His grandchildren: Mandy, Sandy, Joseph IV, Ashley, Aaron, Casey, Lindsay, Anthony, Zachary, Lauren, Avery, Holden, Jaban, Kayla. Great grandchildren: Jacob, Madison, Kyle, Dominic, Amelia, Arianna, and Henry. A private family gathering is planned to celebrate his life. Donations in Joseph's memory may be made to the Stark County Humane Society. The family would like to thank the staff of Affinity Medical Center and Community Hospice for their compassionate care.
