Joseph W. Russell

Joseph W. Russell, age 81 of Massillon, passed away Saturday, October 29, 2011. Joseph was born June 17, 1930 in Florence, Alabama to the late Lester and Perlina (Young) Russell. He moved to Massillon in 1951 and began working at Republic Steel and retired in 1984. He was devout servant of the Lord, a loyal family man, and a proud Cleveland Browns and Cleveland Indians fan. He is survived by his wife, Loretta (Grier) Russell; five children, Larry Rowell, Anna (CHARLES) Perry, Paul (Brenadette) Turner, Darlene (Clark) Bryant, Darreyl Turner; sister, Eva Armstead; brother, Robert Russell and many grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Mr. Russell's Homegoing Celebration will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 3rd, at St. James AME Zion Church; his Pastor Rev. Robert W. Lewis will officiate.
