Joseph W. Hoffner

Joseph W. Hoffner, 75, of Massillon, passed away on August 5, 2024. He was born in Massillon on August 1, 1949, the son of the late Eugene and Ethel (Rodenberger) Hoffner. He was a 1968 graduate of Washington High School. Joe was drafted into the United States Army. He served in the 1st Calvary Division in Vietnam and was awarded a Purple Heart. Joe worked for Central States Can Company as the shipping supervisor until his retirement in 2009.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Hoffner.

He will be missed by his wife of 53 years, Nancy (Isbell) Hoffner; daughter, Lisa (Michael) Long; son, Chris (Melissa) Hoffner; grandsons, Cody (Marissa) Changet and Max Hoffner; and great-granddaughter, Ruth Changet.
