Joseph P. Whipkey

Joseph P. Whipkey, 45, passed away on March 18, 2022, following an extended illness. Joseph was born in Massillon on May 12, 1976 to Donna (Bressler) Whipkey and the late James A. Whipkey, Sr. He was a graduate of Washington High School, received his A.S. from OSU ATI, Wooster and received his B.S. in Horticulture from The Ohio State University. He was the Crew Manager for Oakland Nursery and was the Operations Manager for Environmental Services at St. Anne’s Hospital and Mt. Carmel Hospitals. In addition to his mother, He is survived by his brother, James A. (Heather) Whipkey, Jr; nieces, Ashley (Colton) and Madilynn; nephew, Will; great niece and nephew, Ezra and Theo; and his beloved dog, Chance. A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Fr. Edward Gretchko on April 2, 2022 at 10am in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Facebook Live Streaming Inurnment will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens at a later date.
