Joseph Michael Depietro

February 24, 1957 — October 13, 2024

Joseph Michael DePietro, 67, of Canton, Ohio left his earthly life to rejoice with his Lord

and Savior on October 13, 2024, surrounded by his loving family.

Joe was a graduate of Louisville High School, class of 1975. He worked as a roofer before

moving to North Carolina, where he was a supervisor at Kelly Springfield Tires for many

years until a workplace injury forced his retirement. He recently moved back to Ohio to be

near his family.

Joe loved his horses and all things Old West. He had an infectious laugh and a caring heart

and was always ready to lend a hand or tell a story. His family could share countless tales

of his sense of humor and mischievous spirit as he navigated growing up as the only boy

in a family of six sisters. He will be dearly missed, but our heavy hearts are lifted by

thoughts of his reunion with his father and other loved ones who have gone before him,

including his best friend and constant companion of eleven years, Sir Duke, his longhaired dachshund who recently passed.

Joe leaves behind his sons Brodie DePietro of Massillon and Brandon DePietro of Los

Angeles. He is survived by many who love him - his mother “Mama Bear” Jinny Thomas of

Canton, his sisters Joy (Brad) Vincent of Canton, Judy Rosen of San Mateo, Janice Lolli of

Canton, Jeri Quinn of Streetsboro, Jayne DePietro of Canton and Jennifer (Bill)

Defendiefer of Cincinnati; his nieces and nephews Amanda and Bo Murphy, Derek Quinn,

Lindsay Howell, Marisa Lolli, and Anna and Adam Defendiefer; and his great nieces Emarie

and Ryan Murphy and Ari Quinn.

He was preceded in death by his father, E. Joseph DePietro. Joe remained faithful

throughout his lifetime to Jesus Christ, his Lord and Savior. Though his passing will leave

an unfillable void, his generous and giving heart will live on to transform death into life as

he was an eye and tissue donor through Lifebanc.

A Celebration of Life for Joe will be held at a future date.

In a good life, full of love, death will always arrive too soon
