Joseph J. Rohr, 77, passed away on June 8, 2017. Joe was born in Massillon on April 10, 1940 to the late Clarence and Doris (Schott) Rohr. A graduate of Washington High School, he spent his youth setting pins at the Amherst Lanes, later working at Reiter Dairy. He retired from Republic Steel. He was known for his ornery sense of humor. Joe loved to hunt, fish, bowl, shoot skeet and play Euchre, but the thing he loved most was spending time with his children and grandchildren, making each one feel like his favorite. Joe was a member of The Sons and Daughters of Herman. He is survived by his children, Kathy (Dan) Hartman, Debby Rohr, Susan (Randy) McVicker and Chris (Rick) Smith; twenty eight grandchildren, Ryan (LeAnne), Joe (Rachel), Karisa (Josiah), Gabe (Jenni), Whit (Hanna), Graham (Savannah), Micah (Emily), GloryAnna, Natalie, Caleb, Sophie, Victoria, Tabitha, Elizabeth, Joy, Georgia, Sam, Lee, Avonlea, Martin, Jesse, Paul, Kari, Jacob, Maggie, Kate, Avery and David; fourteen great-grandchildren, Cooper, Olivia, Piper, Masyn, Korey, Lincoln, Levi, Everett, Malachi, Eli, Zeke, Jed, Connor and Kimber; three sisters, Janice Lillo, Joan (Ron) Bricker, and Marge (Walt) Hoffman; two brothers, Donald (Gail) Rohr and Vern (Brenda) Rohr; and many nieces, nephews and other family. Joe was also preceded in death by his wife of nearly fifty-five years, Karen F. (Palaski) Rohr and their daughter, Becky (Dan, surviving) Lepley. The family would like to give a special thank you to his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Tim and Rita Palaski as well as his friends and neighbors for always being there for them. The family invites you to a Celebration of Joe’s Life on Sunday, June 25, 2017 from 2:00pm-5:00pm at Perry Christian Church Inurnment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
