Joseph J. Condon

Joseph J. Condon, age 76 of Beach City, died Thursday, August 21, 2008 at Country Lawn Nursing Home. He was born on February 20, 1932 in Brooklyn, NY and was the son of the late Lawrence and Mary (Mahon) Condon. He was an area resident for the past 35 years. He retired from Union Metal where he was a boiler repairman. Joe was an avid fisherman and card player. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife, Barbara J. (Scheppler) Condon, whom he married on May 2, 1965, his children and their spouses, Judy (Mario) DeCristina, Betty (Steve) Anderson, Diane Jacobs, Joe (Cindy) Condon, April (Wayne) Kieffer, Lisa Condon and Darrin Condon, 20 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are 2 sisters, Marie Carney and Josephine Gerrity. Funeral services will be conducted on Monday at 10:00 A.M. at the Arnold-Lynch Funeral Home with Fr. Raymond L. Paul officiating.
